A Note from the Editor of Le Cygne

Dear Members of the International Marie de France Society:

We are very pleased to be able to announce that the latest issue of our journal, Le Cygne, has been printed and is currently being distributed (along with notices of dues, where appropriate).

To avoid confusion and to create a new start for the journal, the new issue is numbered as Volume 1 (third series). It is our intention to make every effort to ensure that in future the journal appears with its former regularity.

The new editor of Le Cygne, Glyn Burgess, welcomes submissions on topics relating to the works of Marie de France or to the anonymous lays. They should be sent to him at af02@liv.ac.uk or editor@mariedefrance.org.

Ed Ouellette (secretary-treasurer)
Glyn Burgess (editor of Le Cygne)
Tamara Caudill (editorial assistant)

Kalamazoo Call for Papers 2015

The ICMS Call for Papers has been issued.

As you may notice, the International Marie de France Society has a single panel for 2015: “Performances of Guigemar.” We regret that an administrative error on our part effectively eliminated two of our regular panels. We hope to return in full force for 2016.

If you are interested in presenting as part of “Performances of Guigemar,” contact the session organizer:
